HSBC has renewed its commitment to the education of underprivileged children via the Future First* programme, which will receive 15 million US dollars over the next five years.
The first fund applications cycle will be opened in February 15th. Calls may be made by NGOs meeting the following requirements:
NGOs may not participate if their situation could adversely affect the image of the HSBC Group.
Projects must be focused on EDUCATION and fulfil one or more of the following conditions:
NGOs wishing to participate may apply for funding for up to 3 projects within the framework of the Global Future First programme. The scope of project activities shall be Spain in all cases.
Priority will be given to those projects affecting the largest number of children and teenagers, and those offering opportunities for voluntary activities by employees of HSBC Spain. The maximum budget for project applications under the HSBC Future First Global programme is $25,000.
HSBC Bank plc, Spanish Branch also has a budget to support local projects. Applications for Future First Local will be considered up to a maximum amount of €10,000.
Whatever their scope (Global or Local), priority will be given to the projects with the greatest impact, helping the largest possible number of children. Projects will receive funds once per year only.
Budgets are assigned in different currencies depending whether the funds are requested for global or local projects.

Future First Bid Form
The form should provide a detailed description of the goals of each programme entered.
NGOs entering for both programmes should complete the entry form in English. If the application for funds refers only to the local programme, the form may be completed in Spanish.

* The Future First HSBC Corporate Social Responsibility Programme was launched in 2006. The programme has funded missions in 49 countries, helping more than half a million children through educational projects organised by different NGOs. The first phase of the programme took place between 2006 and 2010, and the second cycle began in 2011.
